Each year, we offer a limited number partial and full-time scholarships to the St. Davids Christian Writers’ Conference.
Please note: Partial scholarships cover tuition only. Full scholarships cover tuition plus room and board.
Other things to know:
- If you are applying for a scholarship, please read this page and fill out the form below FIRST, then wait until the scholarship committee makes their decision before registering for conference.
- You must attend the entire conference.
- Special retreats, paid critiques, travel, and other expenses are not included in scholarship funds.
- Writer’s Colony applicants are ineligible for scholarships.
- Past year scholarship winners are ineligible for a scholarship during the following year.
- Scholarship recipients are required to work 20 to 30 minutes per day, helping where needed at the conference (auction help, serving snacks, in the bookstore, etc.).
- The Scholarship Committee will work with each recipient to match their skills with tasks, and we take into account any accessibility or mobility issues when we assign tasks.
- Although we would like to help every author attend, only a limited number of partial and full-time scholarships are awarded.
Requests for scholarships must be received by 11:45 p.m. EDT April 13, 2026.

Types of scholarships available
Full Scholarship
Full scholarships provide a conferee’s tuition plus room and board. There is no additional funds for transportation or additional items during the conference like purchase of books or other supplies.
Partial Scholarship
The partial scholarship helps pay for a conferee’s tuition fee only, not room and board. (If you are a commuter, you will still be responsible to pay for the meals portion of the conference fee.)
St. Davids Memorial Scholarship
Honors all those friends of SD who have entered their eternal home.
